Ruthie a beautiful person taken so young .
I met Ruthie through work and we became friends. We often enjoyed a visit to the cafe at lunchtime with Fi, and the three of us would put the world to rights, as we saw it, accompanied of course with Ruthie’s wicked sense of humor and that wonderful giggle thrown in.
Ruthie took a break from Headcount, but we were very lucky that she came back to help us when times were extremely difficult. Ruthie would turn her hand to most jobs, always volunteering no matter what the task.
Ruthie hated appraisals, (I am still not sure why) and I was to conduct her appraisal that particular year. I remember that Ruthie was very nervous, so I did my best to make her feel at ease. Ruthie’s appraisal was easy as she had not only performed her role to her usual high standard but had also helped out in practically every other department. Throughout the appraisal she kept saying did I?, do I?, and when we got to the end she said “are you really talking about me?“ and I said “Yes of course“.
We both had a few tears. That was Ruthie always happy to help, kind, caring, great fun and loyal but never assuming anything including praise and recognition.
I know she loved nothing better than spending her time with her family and enjoyed her visits so very much.
I'm sure the red wine will be on free flow and Rambo will be happy to have you with him again . Much love Ruthie always , Lynda xx
